1. Explore the Chhipa Community Colony

• Visit the home of the Chhipa community, masters of block printing for over 400 years.
• Witness how generations have kept this unique Rajasthani art alive.
• Learn about their traditions, lifestyle, and the significance of block printing in their culture.

2. Rooftop Visit to Meet a Renowned Artisan

• Walk to the home of Dinesh Ji, an expert in block printing and freestyle brush art.
• Enjoy a live demonstration where Dinesh Ji and our explorer explain the intricate process of block printing.
• Savor delectable fritters and a cup of chai, soaking in the Indian tradition of hospitality.

3. Create Your Own Masterpiece

• Receive a loose-fitting kurti (for ladies) or kurta (for men) to design your wearable artwork.
• Choose from a variety of wooden blocks, guided by Dinesh Ji and his team.
• Engage in a hands-on block printing activity for 40-45 minutes.
• Take breaks to sip tea and snack on fritters, giving you time to plan your design and create your one-of-a-kind piece.

4. Personal Tailoring of Your Designed Garment

• Meet a tailor who will take your measurements to custom-stitch your printed garment.
• While your piece is being stitched (30-45 minutes), continue exploring the art of block making.

5. Dive into the Art of Block Making

• Visit artisans who carve and finish wooden blocks.
• Learn about the intricate patterns, designs, and the process of creating a final block using multiple patterns.
• Interact with local families and engage in light-hearted conversations about their craft and lifestyle.

6. Try On Your Unique Creation

• Return to the tailor’s shop to try on your newly-stitched kurti or kurta.
• Admire your wearable memory, crafted by your own hands and inspired by Jaipur’s rich heritage.
