Itinerary
5:30 AM – Start of the Hike (Amer Fort Entrance)
Meet your expert explorer, a passionate hiker and naturalist who will guide you through the historic ramparts of Amer. Accompanied by support staff carrying refreshments, begin your ascent onto the ancient wall, which stretches across fortified hills, jungle-covered ridges, and lookout towers.
6:00 AM – Walking the Great Wall
Walk along the majestic 5-9 feet wide ramparts, exploring the cannon posts and defensive strongholds that once protected the kingdom. Discover how Rajput warriors strategically built this fortification, ensuring complete surveillance over Amer town and Jaipur.
Along the way, experience extraordinary jungle views, the cool morning breeze, and the chance to spot rare birds, reptiles, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Your guide will share insights about the flora, fauna, and the architectural brilliance of this forgotten marvel.
7:30 AM – Backtracking & Connecting Routes
Since some sections of the wall are broken, we will backtrack at key points before continuing further along another connecting rampart. This part of the hike adds a thrilling element, making you feel like a true explorer navigating the untouched trails of Rajasthan.
8:30 AM – Refreshments Break at a Scenic Viewpoint
Take a well-deserved break at a picturesque lookout, where you’ll enjoy some light refreshments and energizing snacks while soaking in the unparalleled 360-degree views of Amer and the Aravalli range.
9:30-10:30 AM – Descent & Return to Base
As the sun rises higher, we begin our descent back to the foothills,
ensuring we reach the base by 10:30 AM in summer and 11:30 AM in winter.
