The Ride
Manali to Leh highway is one of world’s most sought after motorcycling experiences. Ride through two of the highest mountain passes in the world. The mystic sapphire lakes, the rugged and rusty terrains, peacefully ambience and dive deep into the melody of the Himalayas. Leave your worldly problems home and pack minimally for this once in a lifetime experience. So, let the magic of marooned monastery, independence and soft breeze, swirl up your senses for the good.
The Bike
Royal Enfield Classic 500cc is one of the most trusted and loved international motorcycle in the world. For the biker’s community around the world if the ride is long and the road is tough the bike has to be Royal Enfield. Its throttle and the kind of power it generates for the rider liberates the rider to take on the toughest terrain in the most comfortable riding.
Welcome to New Delhi!!! On your arrival at Delhi Airport you will be received by our representative and assisted till your room in your hotel. Arrive in Delhi at any time. There are no planned activities, so check into to the hotel and enjoy the city. Tonight, the adventure begins. Feel free to explore — later in evening at6:30 pm you will be having welcome meeting so make sure you’re back in time to meet your group and your Tour Captain who will review the details of your trip followed by dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Today we drive towards Manali to avoid the mayhem of the Delhi traffic with the first light from the sun. We shall have our lunch on the way. We reach Manali by late evening with the setting sun and check into our hotel and freshen up for dinner.
Distance 21 Kilometers Altitude 2050 meters
Today, the adventure begins after a sumptuous breakfast, you will find your bullies 350 ready to Roar. It will be time to get familiar with your motorcycle. After an exhaustive briefing you’ll be taking a short ride (in an effort to know your bike better and to get familiar with its controls and riding conditions)
We take short ride to the Nicholas Roerich art gallery in the Naggar district so that the riders are accustomed with the motorcycles for the long journey ahead. After lunch we ride back to Manali. In the evening we ride to the Tibetan markets. After a short walk through the markets we ride back to our hotels for dinner and rejuvenate ourselves for the big ride tomorrow.
Manali – Rohtang Pass – Keylong – Jispa
Distance 140 Kilometers Covered in 7-8 Hours Altitude 3200 meters
With an early breakfast we start riding our motorcycles towards Rohtang pass, the riders are advised to cross this pass without any halts to avoid the morning tourist bustle at Rohtang. Riding through the green grasslands we reach Keylong where we stop for a Himalayan lunch. Ride the valley to reach Jispa, our abode for the night. With dinner we check in to our hotel for the night.
Jispa – Baralacha la Pass – Sarchu
Distance 100 Kilometers Covered in 6-7 Hours Altitude 4290 meters
The ecstatic Himalayan morning can cure any level of fatigue and sickness, with a hot beverage we start riding to climb the Baralacha la Pass. This is the highest mountain pass in the Zaskar region and the low oxygen levels make this part of the ride very difficult. We ride down to Sarchu for our deluxe camps which will be our abode for the night.
Sarchu – Ghata Loops – Leh
Distance 260 Kilometers Covered in 10 Hours Altitude 3500 meters
Sarchu is like an oasis in this Himalayan desert, with a traditional Himalayan breakfast we start riding towards Leh. The wonderful infinite road through the Moray plains is just mind-numbingly peaceful. Riding towards Leh we encounter another great pass that is the Ghata loops. The magnificent Ghata loops have 21 hairpin curves leading to the top. We ride the desert to the quiet town of Leh where we check in our cozy guest house for the night and dinner.
Leh – Pangong Tso
Distance 200 Kilometers Covered in 8-9 Hours Altitude 4350 meters
Morning after breakfast we start riding to the heavenly Pangong Lake. The best part of the day’s ride would be the sunset at the Lake, which will be mesmerized in your memories for long. During the sun rise time the rays of the sun, contrasts with the mountains and is an extremely beautiful sight to look at. Overnight camp at Pangong Lake.
Pangong Tso – Leh
Distance 200 Kilometers Covered in 8-9 Hours Altitude 3500 Meters
After breakfast you ride the motorcycles back to Leh. The ride back is a great opportunity for photography, various wild animals including the Yak and the while rabbits. Make a stopover at the world’s highest coffee shop and back to Leh and exploring the markets in the evening at leisure.
Leh – Khardung La – Nubra Valley
Distance 150 Kilometers Covered in 7-8 Hours Altitude 3048 Meters
After breakfast, on your way to Nubra Valley cross the highest motorable pass, the Khardung La 5680 meters. Ride with the rhythm of your motorcycles to explore the nature and more. Some hairpin curves give the illusion of the road collapsing with the mountains. At the world’s highest road experience the feeling of being on top of the world. On the ride towards Nubra valley visit the Buddhist Temple of Hundar. In the evening wear off the tiredness of the ride and relax overnight at the camp.
Nubra Valley – Leh
Distance 150 Kilometers Covered in 7-8 Hours Altitude 3500 Meters
After having breakfast, on your way back to Leh, ride on the same route yet you will experience it in a different way because of time difference. Take another set of pictures at Khardung La pass to make these memories permanent. The evening is at leisure visiting local markets at Leh.
Leh – Tso Moriri
Distance 220 Kilometers Covered in 7-8 Hours Altitude 4290 Meters
After breakfast, ride in full throttle towards Lake Moriri, the road is full of scenic beuty and some exotic animals to sight. Riding your Royal Enfield motorcycles on these roads give you different feeling of excitement. Evening at camp glaring at the sky full of shimmering stars before retiring at the camp for the night.
Tso Moriri – Sarchu
Distance 220 Kilometers Covered in 7-8 Hours Altitude 4522 Meters
After breakfast, get your biking gear ready to depart for Sarchu. This ride entails riding through waterfalls and crossing some rivers that flow parallel with the roads. The Royal Enfield performance will keep you company as you ride through Pang and Wiskey Nullah, wanting more and more challenges to be explored. Reach Sarchu by late evening and retire for the night at Camp.
Sarchu – Sissu
Distance 150 Kilometers Covered in 5-6 Hours Altitude 3120 Meters
After Breakfast at the camp ride towards Sissu, after crossing the lush green mountains. We have our lunch on the way feasting over some hot meals. On reaching Sissu, team members set up campfire for the night. Overnight at camp at Sissu.
Sissu – Manali
Distance 85 Kilometers Covered in 3-4 Hours Altitude 2050 Meters
Get ready in the morning after breakfast to ride back to the queen of the mountains, Manali. This also marks as the last day of riding motorcycles across Himalayas. Reach Manali by late afternoon and check in to your hotel. Celebrate this journey with your new found friends for life and the memories that you will cherish for years to come. Overnight at the hotel in Manali.
In the morning after breakfast pack your bags get ready for your long journey towards Delhi. On the way you can buy some souvenirs for your friends and family back home. Reach Delhi by late night and check in to your comfortable hotel in Delhi for the night.
This is the last day of this vibrant journey, we bid farewell to the mighty Himalayas, scenic landscapes and especially the lovely people. Morning breakfast, our team will assist you for your drop at the airport with respect to your flight timings. - Minimum 02 Persons are required to confirm the booking.
- Travel insurance is not included in the cost.
- An amount of Rs 20,000 as security deposit (fully refundable) has to be paid.
- Lunch and dinner expenses are not included in the above cost.
- Although first aid help will be at the disposal of the rider, any hospitalization or other medical expenses will be borne by the rider himself/herself.
